It’s not an ownership issue – at least not in the traditional sense. Hi VG – thanks so much…what a fabulous little tool! Unfortunately this problem is maddening! I have little IT experience but usually I have solved problems in the past with our computers just by following directions.
Also, when I go to shell32.dll file it asks me to pick a program or have microsoft find one on the web for me (I never purchased the complete Windows 7 when I got this computer and instead use ’s software that is analogous to Windows. ‘Program files (x86) 7:53 PM’ When I click them I do not get the same screen allowing me to go to Security to get to the ‘Trustedinstaller’ files to make the changes shown in your screenshot. Instead of ‘Computer>Local Disc C>Windows’ I see ‘Computer>Tl106304W0E(C:) and in the area of files instead of ‘System 32’ I see 2 sets of program files that may be the same function as ‘System 32’ that read as follows: How do I return my computer to only Windows 7 updates when I am not having the same screen shots in trying to get to ‘Trustedinstaller’? Your screen shots do not match mine and I am running Windows 7 Premium. Something is wrong because the Windows 10 wants to install along with my regular updates.
Will I need to completely crash my computer or should I do a restore point? I am unable to uninstall the Windows 10 installer that keeps popping up in the Windows update despite setting update to manual, the KB 303553 file has been uninstalled and does not show in installed software anywhere and I think I need to know of any other KB files that need to be uninstalled too.
